Marathi Typing Online works without an account or a document server. What you write stays in your browser.
Documents and preferences
Your documents, formatting, preferred transliterations, input mode, and last-open document are stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB. They are not sent to us. Clearing browser storage may remove them, so download important work.
Transliteration model
The Marathi transliteration model is downloaded as a static file, cached in a separate browser database, and run on your device with WebAssembly. The quick fallback engine is included in the site bundle. Neither path sends the words you type to a transliteration API.
Voice typing exception
Voice typing uses the speech-recognition feature supplied by your browser. Depending on the browser and operating system, audio may be sent to the browser vendor for processing. The editor displays this exception when voice input is used. You can use all typed transliteration features without enabling voice.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they use. These services collect usage information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and the referring site. Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visitors apart. We do not send your documents or the words you type to these services. Google explains what it does with this data in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can block cookies in your browser settings or install Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising
The site may show advertising to stay free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your earlier visits to this and other websites. Google’s advertising cookies let it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google at Google Ads Settings, and from other vendors at aboutads.info. We do not send your documents or the words you type to advertisers.
Hosting logs
The site has no accounts and no cloud sync. Normal web hosting logs may record standard request information such as an IP address and browser user agent.
Your controls
You can copy, print, or export documents as TXT or HTML. You can delete individual documents from the editor or clear this site’s stored data through your browser settings.
Email you send us
If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply and to fix the problem you reported.
